Until now, there has been no effective treatment for patients with complete spinal cord injuries. For several years, Jánské Lázně has been offering a unique paralysis treatment using electroacupuncture, providing significant help to these patients.
This innovative therapy, known as AC-TIVE ENF, was developed by rehabilitation physician Peter Olšák, combining medical acupuncture with knowledge of physical medicine. Dr. Olšák has successfully treated over 700 patients, including those with complete spinal cord injuries.

Who is Dr. Peter Olšák?
Born in Ilava, Slovakia, in 1985, Dr. Olšák graduated from Palacký University in Olomouc and worked as a rehabilitation physician at the University Hospital in Olomouc for ten years. He joined the Vesna Children's Sanatorium in 2020. Dr. Olšák began using electroacupuncture for patients with severe mobility impairments in 2016, treating over 700 patients.
He gives lectures on acupuncture and electroacupuncture and serves as the Scientific Secretary of the Czech Medical Acupuncture Society JEP.
In 2023, he led a team from Palacký University to victory in the Transfera Technology Day competition with innovative needles for electroacupuncture applications.

This special program is designed for patients with complete spinal cord injuries, combining electroacupuncture with specialized rehabilitation care.
